Dr.Ulrike Harting
Artist Manager
Dr. Ulrike Hartung is an interdisciplinary music theatre scholar and cultural observer with a deep commitment to connecting artistic practice and institutional change. Trained in theatre studies with a focus on music theatre, she earned her doctorate with a dissertation on post-dramatic forms, exploring how contemporary aesthetics reshape the operatic stage today.
As a founding member of the Netzwerk Freies Musiktheater, she is closely connected across the German-speaking music theatre landscape, from independent productions to major opera houses. This broad network allows her to bring diverse perspectives together, connect artists and institutions meaningfully, and foster dialogue across different contexts of creation.
Alongside her academic work, she draws on experience as a communication consultant in the private sector, perspectives that broaden her understanding of artistic collaboration, leadership, and the organizational structures that shape creative work.
Our Artists
Creativity and courage are at the forefront of our artists’ motivation: creators who are not afraid to break boundaries and challenge the status quo to produce ground-breaking art; bringing musicians, artists, and thinkers together to collaborate, experiment, and shape new possibilities for classical music.
