OpusXX works to demonstrate how feminist digital practice can serve as a conduit between artistic production, academic discourse and public impact. By embedding the values of inclusivity, accessibility, and historical justice into the design and function of the artistic platform, we offer a model for how rethinking existing institutions and developing innovative tools can democratize access to cultural history.
In doing so, OpusXX empowers creators and audiences alike to become curators of a more complete and representative musical heritage. It demonstrates a powerful potential to reshape the broader public’s understanding of the past by challenging established historical narratives and introducing alternative modes of engagement with the musical repertoire. The project invites both specialists and audiences to reconsider what they assume they know about the history of classical music.
